IPMS Build Session

April 2008

On Saturday, April 12 the club held its first workshop in the wood working class at Kalakaua Middle School. About a dozen members showed up with their current projects. Gary Dobias brought along his home made spray booth, and Neal managed to log some time airbrushing a few models. A good time was had by all, and before we knew it, it was time to pack it up. The only hitch was that the parking lot at the back of the campus was locked, so everyone had to hump their equipment from the main parking lot in front of the school.

We have use of the classroom for two more times this year, Sept 15 and Dec 13, so mark your calendars. Both are on Saturdays, and are planned to start at 10:00 am and end at 2:00 pm. The calendar at the back of the newsletter has been updated with this information.

“If you want to chew gum, you’ll have to bring enough for everyone!”

The club would like to thank Vice Principal Arnold Shimomura and Brad Sekigawa for making arrangements to allow us to use the school facilities.
