For those who bought Skunk Model Works’ 1/48 MQ-9 Reaper, Caracal offers this decal sheet to expand your markings options. Markings for a total of seven aircraft are provided on the sheet, including one RAF and one NASA scheme. Differences in the configuration for the NASA bird “Ikhana” are pointed out in the instructions. Some website references are also listed. In addition to the unit markings, the decal sheet also includes national insignia of the correct size and a multitude of service markings. The two missing round windows on the nose of the kit are also represented by decals.

The instructions are in color and well done, much better than Skunk Model Works’ small and muddy one. Caracal takes pains to point out subtle differences in things like the fin markings. Colors are also called out which differ from the kit’s recommendations.

The decals are by Superscale, so quality is assured. Color registry looks good and the printing is sharp. If you want alternatives to the markings provided in the Skunk Model Works MQ-9 Reaper, this sheet is for you. Caracal Models is planning on additional sheets for the Reaper in other operator’s markings, so stay tuned.
